• The Dashboard and Likes APIs now include:
  • A tumblelog element on each post with its tumblelog’s information and avatar.
  • Information about originating posts for reblogs.
• You can now get the source code of your custom themes, custom CSS, and tumblelog descriptions from the /api/authenticate action by passing include-theme=1 with the other variables.
• Pages can now be read from the /api/pages action.
• Answer posts are now included in the Read, Dashboard, and Likes APIs as the answer type.

After several attempts at creating a decent way for new and experienced users to find interesting blogs, we finally have a Directory that works pretty darned well. In fact, your recommendations are resulting in thousands of new followers for some your favorite blogs!

So we’re giving the Directory some more love this week:

1. Instead of being reset every Tuesday, your recommendations now stick around for a few weeks. Blogs with more recent recommendations will appear higher.
2. We just added three new directories: Film, Non-profit, and Weird.
3. You know the two featured blogs that rotate at the top of some directories? We’re starting to make those available to select blogs, starting at a measly $9. You can check it out here.
